It was a pleasure guys. Deuces
-
It is dead unfortunately
-
Is this league dead or not ??
-
I'd join your points league if you want to start one Fleetwood. I have 2 buddies looking for a dynasty point as well. We could probably scrape a full league together...
-
I don't know how we fill this many spots. Mick's Mad Dogs and I are looking for a league to join. We'd be willing to start a league if we had enough interest.
-
I would guess yes. I would be willing to join a new league if someone starts one. I would but don’t really know all the inter workings of Ottonue to start one.
-
So I guess with six teams out, this league is done, right?
-
Sorry about th3e delayed response. Honestly, I am out. Time to downsize from three leagues to two. Best of luck and happy holidays everyone.
-
So, are we still a league or not? I'm in if we are
-
Also out.

I am out of the league as well.
-
I've been waiting for the league manager to boot me from this team, I have two other leagues already and can't handle any more.
-
I’m good with that. Do you know how many are still active in this league? We have been the only 2 communicating, so not sure if everyone else will be on board with a reset.
-
I have 2 guys that would be interested in joining if a full roster reset were to take place.
-
I would be fine with doing a complete roster reset if we can fill the league and keep the points system the same.
-
Sorry for the late reply, but I am out as well. Not sure how many original league members we have here, but I would be interested in doing a full team reset/redraft and start up for dynasty points league. I'm not an original member, so I'd rather not continue with my hand me down squad. Let me know if others are interested in this for this league or a new one.
-
Hi everyone if this league is still active I will pick up Pointer Brothers
-
Fleetwood, I went ahead and made you commissioner, just in case you want to attempt to replace the departing owners.

hey everyone, wanted to say hey before I abandon this team...I'm at moerder@gmail.com or @moerder on the Ottoneu slack if anyone's still interested in other leagues. I play in two others (846 & 791) that typically have an opening every couple of months. Also, I wanted to thank the Davis bros for having me in the league! This was my first ever Ottoneu league (joined back in 2014), and I appreciate their hospitality. See youse guys on the other side. Peace out...
-
Yeah, ideally we all could've agreed before the season that it was going to be the last one (or two, or whatever). Definitely would have done some things differently. But given the mass exodus, I just don't have the stomach to deal with finding and onboarding like five new owners in a league that's a decade old.
-
What a waste of a year for everyone to just leave. All that work to build a roster for nothing. If anyone is left, I would be down to try to find people.
-
Well that’s a bummer.
-
Yeah I’m out too. Rather than getting new guys in here, you could just start a new league and then they wouldn’t have to inherit teams they didn’t build.
It’s been real fellas!
-
I agree. I’m out.
-
I could stay or go personally but perhaps this level of turnover is a good sign to consider pulling the plug?
-
Fleetwood, see if you can fill my spot as well - i'm hanging it up in 244.

I’ve got two guys who will join. And I don’t mind being the commissioner if it’s not a ton of time.
-
Nothing much, honestly. Setting the draft date, stopping the clock during the draft if it glitches out or something, very occasional roster things (usually revolving around the aforementioned draft glitches), reminding and cajoling about deadlines (which hasn’t really been an issue in this league), adding and removing team owners.

What’s involved with being the commissioner?
-
Hi everyone, I think it is time for me to bow out of this league as well. Thanks for keeping me entertained over the years. I'll abandon my team shortly.
-
Hey all, This is definitely a month and probably a few years too late, but I think my run in this league is at its end. The league has absolutely gotten stronger and more competitive over the years, and my attention just hasn’t risen to the occasion. I’m happy to relinquish my team to one of your buddies, Fleetwood, and I’m hoping someone or sometwo would like the Commissionership. Any takers?

Just out of curiosity, is Robles en Trobles and 2 Eggs, 1 Chapati still in the league? If not, I have a guy or two who’d be interested.
-
Ever-so-marginally less friendly reminder than Moerder's to place that arb, folks!

Friendly reminder to place that arb, folks!

Anyone interested in Ottoneu fantasy basketball? I'm putting a league together, message me if so!
-
Thanks, Big Papi. Great season, everyone, looking forward to some wheeling and dealing this winter!
-
Will be back for 2022
-
Congrats to Trouble with the curve for championship and to Bregman for 2 nd place. Thanks for great job Commish, hope we get exciting baseball in the next month and a half (Great fight Beers)

LeagueI created in $20 Ottoneu Fantasy Football league called Dingleberry Circus. It is Flex (WR/RB/TE) + Superflex (QB/WR/RB/TE), 1 PPR, 1 division, top 6 make the playoffs. Draft is 9/7 @ 8:30 PM EST. Come join the party!! https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/football/invite?invite=eyJMZWFndWVJRCI6MTk0LCJJbnZpdGVySUQiOiIxMzEzOTgifQ==

I’m glad to see there were other trades made before the deadline.

-
Yeah, KB, that's on you for not accepting that trade. Framber's good and all but Scherzer is literally the top healthy SP in the game right now. I don't exactly love the deal Brent did with "BREGMAN" but sounds like you weren't offering much better.
-
But I’m not the one who made the deal.
-
Well, Kepler is a no-brainer cut at $19 to me.
-
I mean I offered a $4 Framber, $17 Kepler, and $1 Heliot Ramos/$2 Josh Jung for Scherzer and Yelich and I was shot down. To Brent's credit he countered with just Scherzer for them, but I didn't see how giving up a $4 Framber and Kepler for an expiring 2 month rental in Scherzer was enough. If Yelich was included you had a deal.. Idk maybe I'm way off, but I'd rather have a $4 Framber, $17 Kepler, and Heliot Ramos or Jung prospect over a $27 Hoskins and a meddling RP in Soto.
-
It’s why the loan system actually works to facilitate in-season trades. You get more value back when you can cover salary for a team that is going for the gold, but then that comes off your books the second the season ends. Bregman is about to have $600 in salary that he has to cut down to $400 by January, which any of his potential offseason trade partners will know and act accordingly. Dollars to donuts at least a couple of those top arms aren’t on his roster when Spring Training rolls around.
-
He clears the $68 next year, which is clearly what the move is about.
-
Pointer Brothers said it best. It is exactly why I made the move.
-
To be clear, he gave the $68 loan along with Scherzer and Yelich, he did not receive the loan with Soto and Hoskins. If this was the best offer he received for those two then so be it, but I think it’s the understanding of the league, knowing how valuable top end starters are. Bregman now has 5/6 of the top 20 arms, who all could be kept next year. It’s not just about this year with this trade. Good on Bregman for pulling the trade off, it just makes the league less balanced moving forward.
-
If he's not keeping Yelich or Scherzer next year, why wouldn't he trade them for guys he will keep? I don't blame anyone for not wanting to build around a $49 pitcher who is 37 years old or a $49 former MVP who's having a thoroughly meh season. If he thinks Hoskins + Soto + $68 is worth more to his team than Yelich + Scherzer, I don't see the issue.
