Now that we have a full league, I updated the bylaws to reflect/remind everyone of Ottoneu rules:
The only bylaw I'm enforcing without league votes is that if someone starts swearing, being belligerent, and/or badgering others on the message board, they will be removed. We don't need this stuff anymore and it will not be tolerated.

Seems there is some disgruntled owners here. Nobody wants the league to be like that. And I didn't dictate anything man. I just posted on board to vote on 1 trade because of the feedback I was getting in mailbox.

I know you like to dictate how the trade votes go, but owners can and should vote however they prefer. Don't really understand the need for you to post asking if someone wants out to let you know because they chose to veto a trade. So they can stay as long as they agree with your opinion. You shouldn't worry though. Unless you request all owners urgency to vote, you still get your minimum six abstained votes.

The league vetoed it....Im going with that. Not that I want to but the league spoke. If you want Acuna...bring your AAA+ trade offer...since you didn't think that my offer was good enough...just going by your standards (LEAGUE)

My point is this isn’t yahoo fantasy. Most people who know about Ottoneu are more serious baseball guys. Short of some shady stuff, nothing should really get vetoed. This isn’t shady. The teams can and have made rationale arguments. It’s not anyone’s place to say their opinion of what a guy is worth or what he’ll score is. Machado could easily hang a 7ppg this season & none of us would be surprised or say he’s expensive. If Trout has a home at $80, Machado can have one at $45

Sorry guys. This is pretty far along but no one should be basing vetoes on their opinions. Fried isn’t Wander. Heck, he isn’t even Sirotka. Does he have upside? Sure. If someone told me that thought he wouldn’t amount to anything, I’d believe it. I dealt Stanton+ for Moncada/Kopech/Luzardo In league last year & people flipped a gasket. They bashed Moncada up and down. He played fine to me. Plus the arms. I’d do it again.

I have only been in this league since last January. I don't know it's history but heard from several who left that it was toxic at times. Apparently this veto is a result of that. Can we start with a clean slate. I made a mistake with my public comments and apologize for that. Can't undo that but won't do it again if we can all make this work. If not, I'd rather just opt out and find a less controversial one.

Personally, I don't think it was vote-worthy. I wish people could accept other's valuations unless a trade is completely egregious. Value today doesn't mean anything in 6 months. I'm of the opinion that if a trade is veto-worth it should only be because owners are acting in bad faith and should be removed from the league. That was clearly not the case here.
