That's my recollection too.
-
We had some disconnect last time. I believe we came down on the side of net.
-
Hi everyone—I can’t remember—was our rule of a cap of $50 incoming loans gross or netted against outgoing loans?
-
"Mr Anderson, goodbye. Mr Anderson, hello." Nice swap.
-
skenes sounds like the rare pitching prospect worth a substantial roll of the dice.
-
I care far more about the opportunity cost of the roster spot than I do the salary in our league
-
oh wow, was solo parenting this wknd and didn’t even notice the Skenes auction. not that it would have made any difference.
-
Done, thanks Neil.
-
Skenes is owned in one league for $30, which is hilarious. I think I would have kept him for $8 or $10, $14 seems unlikely but we'll see
-
Commish please reset Campusano's salary to $2. Thank you.
-
If you didn't notice, the speculation over Paul Skenes is insane across Ottoneu, and not just in our league where prospecting in general is amusingly bonkers. Skenes averaging $9-10 in salary across the board. Was thinking it wasn't like this for Hunter Greene, but of course he was drafted as a prep pitcher.
-
Wow, I was feeling good about my hitters recently, and then they turned around and put up a combined -3.30 over the weekend. Ouch.
-
If I had the artistic skill to create an image of Adley Rutschman cosplaying the ghost pirate character from Spongebob, I would rename my team The Flying Rutschman. Oh hell, I might do it anyway.
-
Rusty chunked my potential Duran Duran theme by grabbing Ezequiel.
-
Agreed, this league feels like it gets tougher every year. Unrelated, now that I've got all the Lowes, and my team is a bunch of prospects and underpaid scrubs, do I change my name to "Do It Right For Less"?
-
wow, 8 teams over 10,000 pts and 7 teams within 1,000 pts of each other. this is a tough league!
-
Speaking of relationships, the Croney-Brent Rooker marriage is over. Man, that guy was hot to begin the season.
-
This is a casual, transactional sort of relationship. Randall's chill with it.

Man, what a thing to say mere minutes after Grichuk homers for you.
-
And in exciting news, I will absolutely be joining the Have Cut Grichuk Club as soon as my regulars get healthy

Vlad wins the Grichuk sweepstakes making him the 8th team to have owned All or Nothing Randall
-
Grichuk was a good OPL guy for me in '21. High variance, played almost everyday, healthy.
-
Then again, it looks like I added seventeen players in six weeks, so I was clearly fishing with a net.
-
I have zero recollection of owning Grichuk. Let alone starting the auction and bidding $5.
-
Ah, tradition. For six consecutive seasons (2017-2022), Randal Grichuk has been dropped in this league, including twice last season. (For context, I didn't even join Bleacher Bums till '18.) Now a streak of seven is in play. These are the ties that bind.
-
tommy pham for $1 was a nice add
-
I wouldn't mind Heaney getting dunked on by the Nats for -30 if he didn't put up a +40 when I benched him against Houston.
-
Some brutal pitching performances lately, not all of them from my roster. Might not be a trend, but nonetheless it has me thinking about those articles from early this season projecting the pitch clock's impact. Many in MLB were worried about pitchers becoming more fatigued and breaking down as this season progresses.
-
-40.33 in 0.1 IP? Nothing to see here.
-
Joe Ryan knows how Eury Perez feels.
-
Ryan was a -52 that outing -- haven't seen anything that horrendous ever.
-
He's the Shohei Ohtani of recycling RP's
-
That's 12 RP's that Croney has acquired this year and subsequently dropped. And that doesn't include 3 he acquired last yr and dropped this year. That's gotta be a record! And we're still in June!
-
Minus 23 points in the second inning for Joe Ryan tonight. So, an improvement from his first inning.
-
Would love to but my vacation quota is full up this summer. Would love to see my good friend out their who is a Nats season tix owner but maybe not til next summer.
-
anyone going to the DC meet up?
-
figured i have a ton of money, so might as well roll the dice on an interesting arm.
-
I scoffed when Dave added Paxton. Popped in my monocle for the moment and everything. Obviously I should know better by now. But with injured pitchers, there's half broke and then there's what I call Zumaya broke, where the human arm simply can't hold up given that repertoire. Already wondering if that's Miller's fate.
-
I spent a lot of time thinking about whether to go to $9. I would like that time back please
-
Paxton seems to have unbroke himself. But then you didn't overpay on him.
-
i just can’t get enough of overpaying for half-broken pitchers
-
Gonna go out on a limb and say never fn ever is the last time this league has had five relievers simultaneously up for auction.
-
Croney slowly building a good OF with 4 letter names: Ward, Wade, Lane, Lowe. He'll have to trade me Leody. He has no other options.
-
I didn't think I'd get him for $5, but I thought it'd be competitive
-
kinda funny that Ozuna went for $1 and Matos for $10.
-
Well, I thought $4 was an aggressive bid on Luis Matos.
-
They're starkly different people. One is a lefty outfielder born in 1998 who made it to the show in the August of 2022 to be a warm body for a bottom dwelling team from Ohio. The other didn't get called up until September.
-
It should be "buy one get one free" for the Will Brenson OF guys
-
Now you're with me, Bryan Woo -- and in some thousand other leagues that roster you, through Ottoneu.
We see your K rate's really high. So you're no ordinary guy, but that slider's gotta improve. Can you hear me, Bryan?
-
the moral of the 2023 season for me is, don't leave cuts until the 31st or you'll fall asleep and hold Lance McCullers until June 10th.
