League Message Board

Hi all- reminder that there is an 11am ET game tomorrow!
-
Hi All: Got a new Ottoneu Six Picks league going. Has a fun vibe. https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/sixpicks/invite?code=eyJJbnZpdGVyVXNlcklEIjoiMTcwMDEwIiwiR3JvdXBJRCI6ODF9

Ah okay that worked. Not the most intuitive but it makes total sense. Thank you!
-
if he is currently in your 2B slot and you try to move him to OF, if the player you are swapping with isnt 2B eligible, it wont let you.. you need to free that OF spot up first, then move him .. i know i learned this , this past week as well trying to move someone.. not sure if that is what you are experiencing.
-
Hey guys - this is my first time in a league like this - Altuve is currently listed as 2B/OF on his profile, but I can't put him in the OF in my future lineup. Is that showing a 2026 eligibility? It's weird to me that it would show OF if he's not eligible there, but I figured I'd see if I was doing something wrong.
-
It’s a cool idea. I gotta make it out of round 1…
-
can't lie- kinda jealous of those little blue icons. Look pretty cool.
-
I’m not sure the torpedo bat would have survived a Big Sexy swing…
-
“I wonder how many home runs I would have hit with a torpedo bat?” - “Big Sexy” Bartolo Colon. Tweet of the year?
-
I love weekly. There is a perception it's "easier" or "less dedicated" but I think you need better roster construction and planning. With daily, if you are more active and ensure you max out starts, you'll likely do pretty well but that doesn't necessarily mean you constructed the best roster
-
This "weekly lineup thing" is wild. I kinda like it. I'm always so obsessed on the daily changes, it's nice to "set and forget".
-
Amazing, Hopsmackers! Again- welcome to the new managers, welcome back to the previous managers, and good luck this year! Already off to a great start!
-
Bravo!
-
👏

Happy "Opening Day Eve" everyone! Best of luck on your season.
A little "poetry" to get the ball rolling!
Twas the Night Before Opening Day,
When all through the home,
All the ball players were getting ready,
With commentary from Steve Stone
-
With the Tokoyo Series wrapped up just in time
Opening Day can finally begin with dreams of what could,
It is fun to think of players to rhyme,
Like “Lance Lynn (FA)” and “James Wood ($3) ”
And while the Cubs won’t be any good,
The winning ways in Pittsburg will be all about O Neil Cruz ($19),
I think Freddie Freeman ($46) still swings the wood,
And the Cardinals and Lars Nootbar ($7) will serve you Busch Light booze.
-
But ask any Cubs fan what 2016 meant to them,
Give them a chance to flex that muscle.
And they’ll talk your ear off for hours,
About all the value of an Addison Russell.
All the big names are ready, Soto and Ohtani, Alvarez and Skeenes,
Kelnic, Tyler Anderson, and Nic Hoener, and Mr. Fermin, Fred (FA)
Gavin Lux ($1) and Ke'Bryan Hayes ($1)
All the one dollar dudes you dream of before bed.
-
Hold up a second,
I do need to fart.
Before it goes down let me roster
Joey Andrew Bart ($3).
So now baseball is here
Like warmer weather and the vibe of fantasy fame,
Rob Deer wouldn’t play well in this format,
But his occasional home runs could win you a few games.
Good luck this season! Set those lineups!
-
Cheers to everyone on some interesting trades!
-
Option 1 it is, with 7 votes in favor. Thanks, all- see you Friday!
-
Option 1 for sure. Approx 190 roster spots to be filled. Takes around 45 seconds to fill each one. I bet it'll be a 2 1/2 hr auction. It's a Friday night! We can make it to 11pm EST.
-
I'm good with option 1.

Option 1
-
Vote 1. If you want to be done after 2 hours, you can exit the draft
-
We vote for option 1.
-
We understand the desire to avoid a six hour initial auction. Many leagues use that approach in the first year. This league is now past the initial year so splitting the auction is not so important. Option 1 allows freedom of choice. Some, like us, want the opportunity to finish our roster in Friday. Managers who don’t want to finish things off on Friday have the option to round out rosters through the in-season auctions. Option 2 eliminates the end game; an important part of the auction.
-
Given that I've heard different opinions, I'll put this to a vote, so everyone can plan accordingly:
1) Fully finish draft Friday night
2) Draft for 2 hours and finish via in-season auctions or Couch Managers slow draft (can decide via a separate vote)
Please put your vote on the league message board today, so we can make a decision.
Thanks!
-
Thanks, Vladdyswagon. Understood re: the concerns.
The time limit draft is keeping with last year's approach- we held a 3 hour draft and finished with a slow draft on Couch Managers; 2 hours live this year should get us to a similar place in terms of roster construction. Given schedule issues with the draft, this seemed the fairest approach for everyone. However, Couch Managers has been unreliable this year, so there's a bit of an unknown there.
-
We strongly oppose a two hour time limit on the auction. We prefer an opportunity to finish filling our roster on Friday. Stopping at two hours will leave some teams with full rosters and others still looking to fill many spots. First week’s roster is due on 3/27 and some teams will be severely disadvantaged with many open spots. OPL teams will be destroyed with open spots. Both are unacceptable. We propose no arbitrary time limit on Friday.
-
Alright- pre-draft rosters are final! Feel free to start your draft prep.
We will plan on a 2 hour draft on Friday night to get through a number of players. At 10pm ET, we will close the live draft and move to the standard in-season draft to fill out rosters.
Feel free to reach out with any questions- otherwise, see you all on Friday!
-
WE ARE FULL!
For any existing teams looking to make final, cap-free cuts- please send to me via message by 5pm ET tomorrow (Saturday), so I can process. Would be good to give everyone the final free agent list over the weekend for draft prep.
-
Draft on Friday March 21st works perfect for me!
-
Hi All: Got the fantasy baseball bug HARD this year. Just grabbed this team. Should have cuts in soon.
-
Yes! Just 1 left.
-
Milford - sounds fair to me. Welcome to the new owners! Do we just need one more?

Also a note, as we have so many cuts with new teams joining. If you are an existing manager who wishes to make additional cuts, please let me know. I think that's the fairest solution given new teams are making cuts with a majority of spring training in the books.

Hey League owners - I just claimed The Minnesota Winners. I see a few teams still need claimed but I've been looking for a weekly league so I was happy to find this. I live in the St Louis area and have been in Ottoneu (Baseball and football) before. I'll review the team and make cuts by end of day tomorrow if that works for everyone. Thanks.
-
Updated to 3/21, 8pm ET. Similarly, let me know if that's an issue.
-
Trying a new date (3/20) based on feedback. I'd like to do the draft after the Tokyo series, to give us a bit more time. Knock down your Dodgers/Cubs by 1.2%.
-
Yes- pushed back a week. Please message me if this new time doesn’t work. I have been posting for new managers; hoping that we will fill up this week.
