Australian Blue Heeler is a good dog. We love ours. Smart, funny, fast, strong, sweet. But very much an alpha type and high-energy, so only good if you are going to have the time to run the energy out of them a few times a week.
-
if we have to get any more surgeries for the dogs. Id have to remain them Josh and James.
-
Get the lab, once he's home the wife will love him. Just be prepared to do all the feeding, taking out, etc. My lab mix dog is lazy, dumb and loving. About all you could ask for in a pet. HE does stink real bad all the time though, even a day after a bath. My GSD could go months without a bath and not stink, but he's a hyper-intelligent neurotic gimpy mess. It's all about what you want out of the dog.
-
...I'll trade you Yaz for your whole team.

I've been bugging my wife to get a chocolate lab. She's not opposed, but not thrilled. His name would be Sherman. No affiliation to baseball. Just a big, brown chunk of slobbery love.
Also, I do love the shit talk. But as they say, variety is the spice of life. So let's pick on something new, shall we? How about Nuke? That guy's a chump. Cardinals fan for life. Runs his shells with red text even.
Nuke, I miss you! Let's make a trade and stir stuff up in this boring league...

You guys. When there’s an opening in the league in the offseason, anyone will be scared away. Debate each other in your direct messages. Everyone else, tell us about your dogs or something
-
I bid $9 on him and if I got him I would tried to trade before deadline. Mediocre veteran on a hot streak, but knew some contending club would jump on him. And they should to fill their squad out.
-
Yeah you bid $9 for him.
-
Was there a good player available I must have missed it?!?!
-
Tough to bid on good players if you don’t have cap space. If you trade it away and blow $36 on cuts from streaming guys and waste $17 on bust players it becomes really hard to roster good ones when they’re available.
-
I held Verdugo for three years where he was blocked in LA, I could have traded or cut him but I held him for my window now. Not clear on why you keep hammering at that point.
-
I don't admit to mismanaging. I'm the only person in this league to ever own Mookie, Bryant, Turner. I drafted Story when he was in AAA. Put KB up for auction the day he became Otto elig. I tanked so that I would hit a window where all my guys were 26-30 at the same time. I could have dropped prospects and gotten more AB and played to try to cash in 3rd place, but I didn't. So you can keep trying that, but you're not gonna, like, offend me or ruffle my feathers.
-
Maybe if you spent your time on setting your lineup instead of trolling me about the Charlie trade three weeks after it happened, it would be a better use of your time?!?!?!
-
So you admit you have a history of mismanaging your ABs and probably your IPs. Come on Chicken, let's do better!!!
-
It's all a ploy for us to arb up Blackmon (for when he is cut at ~$36) so his actual value players won't get the bump.
-
Also, three years ago? 700 fewer AB than the winner. I've had most of my core pos. players that long and figured I could lose 3-4 years to play for 1st/2nd for 3. I don't take offense or feel any shame when you're like "hahahahah you can't get money in your own league."
-
Otto rebuilds are not like real life, I generally have a two year plan and Charlie the bearded wonder is in that plan.
-
I don't have one for this year. But then I don't declare Biggio incapable of success then a few weeks later shrug that off like I didn't say it.
-
Spare us the excuses. You seem to have a lot of them. I am sure you have one for ever year.
-
You know Chief won last year, right, on a salary under $300? The league going into this year was Chief then everyone else. This wasn't anyone's league to win this year unless some weird injury stuff happened to Chief.
-
Last year I got crushed by injury. I finished 400AB below everyone who beat me. The year before I got crushed by injury and had 700-900 fewer PA than the 5-6 people who finished above me. I didn't tear my team apart to try to finish 3rd or 4th the last two years, I sucked up my loss and kept them together for now and next year. What's your excuse, besides lecturing us about the virtue of long-term planning around expensive 34 year old bats?
-
Carrasco ($22), Suarez ($20), Didi ($10) available before deadline in a few days. 2020 August MVP Randal Grichuk ($4) also available. He's almost averaging as many points as Chuck Nasty.
-
And great job on mismanaging your team in a year you could be winning.
-
Easy, I look at the past standings in this league and you are absent from the top 3 every year. Enough said.
-
37.19% of my roster is either in the minors or on the IL but please, as someone 500 points behind me, tell me more.
-
And you come across as obsessive and mean spirited. You try to unilaterally not play for money this year and told me you have 10 votes to my 1 vote, which says a lot to me about you run your league. I think this all stems from your Otto insecurity because you can't consistently place in your own league. I am coming in to a bottom of the standing team and rebuilding it. Easy for you to talk smack about how I am not performing well when have had 8 years (?) to build your team.
-
My whole logic behind the Blackmon trade was to keep him for next year because he is $30 and an annual 1,000 point producer. I find OF is hard to fill and 3rd is easy to fill. Unfortunately, you have put words in my mouth as I never said - Blackmon is Ruth, I did it for this year, etc. I will talk all the smack I want to you Chicken. This is your precious league and you are not good enough to consistently finish 3rd, yet you talk like you are an Otto god.
-
Given those comments about Biggio and Blackmon, and the $17 James, and so on, the best way to duck the smack talk is: do better.
-
Which is not a personal attack, it's smack talk: my team is way better than your team. You can't talk shit about my team because my team is so much better than your team. If your team could get to 4 PT/IP (Kershaw might help, if you can work a trade) then you can maybe start to talk smack and spare us "Everyone knows Biggio doesn't have the hit tool to succeed."
-
You know we're making fun of you for your SSS overvaluation of Blackmon, yes? Esp at his age? And for your declaration that "everybody" knows that Josh James is The Next Randy Johnson? And your absolutism on other stuff. My team is all a bunch of pos players aged 25-29 (peak) who are largely way under market (Story, Turner, Yordan ((thanks!)), Voit, Moncada, Eloy, Verdugo) and that's by design and I'm stomping you even though I have less IP and AB so I'd maybe chill with absolutes.
-
Sorry chicken has me on defensive. I am actually pulling for Craig’s boy. Hope he has it figured out.
-
Again, I wasn't saying he's better lol. I think you missed the point. You stated that that trade was the worst. Ever. I'm simply offering evidence that that may have been a dramatic statement. That's all. it was intended to be funny. Not grossly offensive. Wasn't an attack by any means.
-
Yandy has been scoring really well at 3rd since I traded Nolan. Should I say Yandy is better than Nolan? No, no one would say that.
-
In no way, shape, or form am I saying Biggio > Yelich. I just think it's worth noting that I didn't make the worst trade ever.
-
I am really digging Charlie and Chicken’s small sample size analysis. It is very rich.
-
Christian Yelich 2020 - 150 Points | Cavan Biggio last 14 days - 133 Points
-
Again, the worst? Again, tying to attack someone over the internet. You just keep reiterating the point you made a few posts ago.
-
It would be funny. I’m not the one who acted like his civil rights were violated over a fantasy baseball league he just joined. So you’re gonna get the roomie treatment for a while.
-
And whatever your beef is, it would be funny if you end up with the prize money when you were forced to play the season for money when you wanted to sit it out.
-
But isn’t that you, the worst? You are the one attacking me on the internet. See who posted first today? See who can’t let it go.
-
Also, not angry one bit. Roasting you for fun b/c people who go on the attack on the internet are generally the worst.
-
It is funny. I'm like 100IP behind some people and lead the league in points on days I have 2 OF slot empty. So funny. That I'll cash in this precise (sic) little league in a year I don't want to play where I made 25% of my roster prospects.
-
And last funny note, I promise, you will probably win because Kershaw's 4.21 p/i is bringing Bob's pitching averages down.
-
And it is funny because you have been so vocal about what a crock this year is, and it looks like you could actually win your precise little league this year. We will all note it with an asterisk, noting that if it was a 162 game season, no way you would actually win.
-
Funny, the only thing we will probably agree on is that we both don't use slack. Keep trying to "roast" me. No one is buying it. Kershaw is at 4.21 p/i for the year, about what he was when I traded him. Nolan has done very little. The trade isn't as bad as you think it is. I will stop though. At this point, this is seems to be an anger issue you should work out with your therapist.
