I agree with Bo Bichette here (and I’m competing against him near the top of the leaderboard). This is exactly the kind of deal non-contenders should be making and looks to me like an excellent trade on both sides.

As an owner of an underperforming team, I'd like to see more of these trades to keep the league active. Jones is a stud and I'm kinda jealous. Did I mention that Hader, Machado, Bassit and Darvish might be a good fit for any contenting teams? I'm open for business.

I won't argue too heartily since I'm involved in the trade but Jones and Basallo are legit keepers and Riley has been the 37th-best 3B thus far. Also, why shouldn't low performing teams be able to trade away talent to secure their future -- like a number of MLB teams do every year?

I urge vetoes on the trade proposed between Lou Browns and Book of Bichette. Lower performing teams should not be allowed to completely dump talent and finance a playoff run by other teams. I'm open to reasons why this should be viewed as a fair exchange. Thanks!

Team Renaming Note: Roger Dorn was a good name when I joined the league last year, but I'm upgrading to my favorite Major League character today. Living in Wisconsin, I'm a huge fan of hearing Bob Uecker on the radio. He is still doing it (home games at least) 54 years in, and every broadcast is a gift from the baseball gods. Cheers everyone - it's Miller Time!
