May 27, 2024 2:52 PM : Bubic (elbow) has been transferred to Triple-A Omaha to continue his rehab assignment.
Analysis: Bubic -- who is coming back from Tommy John surgery -- has allowed six earned runs on 10 hits and three walks across 8.1 innings in five rehab outings between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Double-A Northwest Arkansas, but he has struck out 13 batters over that stretch. He got his pitch count up to 46 in his most recent outing for the Double-A club Saturday, and he'll likely continue to get stretched out for starting duty as he heads to Triple-A. The Royals don't seem to have room for Bubic in the big-league rotation, however, so the left-hander could stick around at Omaha once his 30-day rehab window ends and he's activated from the 60-day injured list.
