Hey all - just a quick update, I forgot we had a couple people who couldn't do earlier than six, so moved it back to the original time of 6pm too.

Great - I updated the time to 5pm for March 9th. Mark your calendars!

Ten out of eleven responses said March 9th as planned, which was the highest vote getter. So Mimikos if you are cool drafting from your phone then that is the best option to get everyone.

I can likely draft from my phone if that’s the date that is needed. Looks like I have the ability to do it on this app. Just found out today I’ll be away that weekend. If we can’t move it I’ll make it work.

Hey everyone - we are all set for the new season! Thanks to Tim for hopping onboard and getting his cuts in quickly. I've scheduled the draft for Sunday, March 9, 2025 6:00 PM EDT - based on everyone's comments that seemed to be a good date. Let me know ASAP if the time or date does not work for you. The draft should take 2-3 hours I think (trying to remember from last year). I've also changed the setting for trade reviews from 48hrs to 24hrs. Let me know if there's an issue with that as well.

Hey everyone! In case you hadn't noticed, BronxBombers didn't end up doing keepers and then was not very responsive, but we now have a new manager. Welcome Tim to the league! I'll help get him up to speed and since he is just coming in, the cuts he will make will be cap-penalty free. So look forward to having some more players in the pool for the draft. Once Tim is caught up I'll look to schedule the draft, but seems like March 9th is a date to aim for.

UK is only 4 hours ahead once daylight savings starts on March 9th. So I’m good with a draft starting at 7pm EDT or any time earlier on either the 9th or 16th.

Everyone has paid other than Bronx bombers. Waiting to hear and then we can set the draft. Sundays are generally good for me as well, and yea I'd lean towards earlier dates, think we did it like mid spring training last year!

Hey all! Reminder keepers and dues are due this Friday before midnight! Keepers are anyone left on your roster, so make sure to cut who you don't want.

Hi all - just a reminder, you can renew your league dues at the ottoneu dashboard page. Due the same day as keepers (1/31). Just did mine so I wouldn't forget :)

Happy New Year everyone! We have a new manager this year taking of "The Heat" (soon to be renamed)? - welcome Christian to the league!
Upcoming events - League dues are due through ottoneu.fangraphs.com by Jan 31st. Keepers are also due then - keepers are anyone you haven't cut by then.
I'll send out a poll at some point too to schedule the draft. Likely do middle of spring training again like last year.

Hi all! Arbitration is complete. Everyone now has until January 31, 2025 to make cuts to their team (ie. select their keepers).

I think with the 2 games today, waivers claims may still be able to be done if the waiver is completed before the end of the day. So feel free to try it out if there's someone you want.

Reminder - everyone has to get within their current salary cap (including current loans and penalties) by midnight, transactions can be reversed if needed to make your team legal

Doc Madness gets the honorary King of the Mountain title w/ a winning record over the Dojo this season. Congrats to all on another fun season and moving the keeper/salary chess pieces in place for future runs. Mike pointed out that a third of the league this season had a higher season point total than every team in 2023, so we're collectively figuring this Ottoneu thing out!

Great season everyone!! We have one more week of free agency so feel free to tinker with your roster within your current cap space and roster size. If you're not planning on sticking around for next season, let me know so we can fill the spot ideally before arbitration starts (Oct. 15th).

Hi all - there was a little confusion over the cut deadline and rosters locking until the draft. So going to give everyone one last chance since this is our first time going through this. Each team can cut up to 2 additional players - you must message me the players and I'll put the cuts in manually.
Deadline is Tuesday, Feb 13th at noon est.

Also quick reminder (thanks to the other gristle for remembering) - each team needs to have at least $1 available per free roster spot, so even if you don't have the max of 40 players, you need cap space to have them. Example - if you have 39 players, you need $1 of cap space for the 40th player even though you aren't rostering him. Can't have $400 spent on 39 players. Should auto calculate but just a reminder for roster planning purposes.
