I would agree we tend to undervalue current (next) year production, but this time of year we are trying to build a roster for next year, so don't forget to look at the roster you are trading with. I am already expensive, so i cant take on $$$, even if it makes my team better.

From what I've learned, everybody values players differently when playing Ottoneu. Also, when I first started, I had difficulty valuing studs. I'm not saying that's what's happening with you re: Burnes...I'm just sharing my experience. It is a weird combination of dynasty and auction fantasy, which I think makes it more fun than standard ESPN/Yahoo fantasy.

In that case, we should throw out all players over like $30 and just compete with the guys with salaries under that..You shouldn’t be fearing a player because of his salary, you should be focusing on his talent and what he can bring to your squad..Trades are something you should be able to make to improve your team and the other team. To run away from let’s say one of the top MLB pitchers in the game, Burnes because he makes $41 is SILLY..He will only make more than that if put back in draft..

What I don’t get about Ottoneu F.B. is you try to make a trade of Player A who is obviously higher rated and is worth multiple players in return and the response is: “No, I like the salaries better with Player B and Player C, so I’m gonna pass.” It would be one thing if the guy I was offering had a salary in his 40’s, but this guy is under $20..What use is trying to trade players to make the game more fun, if every other owner is gonna be afraid to deal based on the salary of your given player?
