Good question — The auto auction would be nice, but I don’t think there’s a way to do that in ottoneu, so the unclaimed teams will just get skipped for noms and won’t bid

We have 10 now-- so we're all good to move forward with the draft. Would be great if we fill in the other 2 slots, but if not we'll manage. The draft is currently scheduled for Thursday night at 8p ET. Please let me know ASAP if you absolutely cannot make that time work, and we'll resort to the 'ol survey situation.

Hey y'all, an update on where we're at: we have 8 solid active teams (there are two teams that actually have owners but just need to pay their Ottoneu fee--Meltdown, Student Nines, and that should be done shortly). There are 4 actually unclaimed teams (Rounding 3rd, Show me Your, Semien, UDsteve). I think we need to get at least two of those teams claimed to have a competitive league. As soon as we get at least 2 owners we'll get the draft scheduled (traditionally a Thurs night)

Hey yall, a couple things — first, don’t forget that *tomorrow is the last day for penalty free cuts.*. Anyone you cut after tomorrow at 11:59 ET will count half their salary against your budget (unless/until they’re drafted/picked up by another manager). You have to have at least $1 available for every empty roster spot, so keep that in mind while making your cuts. You can’t participate in the draft if you’re over budget. Also, we need a few owners , so feel free to invite if u know someone

Can we talk about this IL stuff! Is there any way we can change it so 15day IL can be utilized to take someone off a roster? I’ve had people on 10 and 15 day IL for the whole start of the year! We are reaching 30+ days of this “10day IL”. I understand that we won’t/can’t change for the 10 day and that makes sense…..but what about the 15day?

Yeah, I noticed that weird thing with injured players going to UT also. If you go to the "community" link you can give feedback there, and the guy that runs the site usually responds himself. For the SP eligibility I think it'd make sense for them to just get away from designating pitchers as SP/RP for eligibility at all, because they only accrue stats if they're slotted in the right spot anyway. The way they use openers and stuff now, the SP/RP designation is becoming outdated a

Are we still taking complaints on ottoneu? Apparently position players who missed last season due to injury are ineligible at any position besides utility to start the season. Also, am I correct to assume previous RPs who are now starters can't earn stats at all until they get SP eligibility?

A couple important upcoming dates:
Jan 31: Deadline for Penalty Free Cuts. Meaning that 1/31 is the last day to cut a player from your roster without half of their salary counting against your $400 budget for the '24 season. LMK if ?

Last day for arbitration is Tuesday ! Please note you have to assign at least $1 increase against every team in order for any of your arbitration assignments to count. LMK if anything confusing, happy to help. Once the deadline is passed though, it’s passed, I don’t even have an option to extend or anything afterward.

belated congrats to the league winners —-fortunately for Steve M’s Team, creative team name is not a scoring category. Unfortunately for Gravy Robbers, I read on fantasysportsobscurerules.net that in the event of a tie, first place is assigned in reverse alphabetical order of team name.

Just a heads up since some people were surprised by the catcher innings limits, be sure to track them for your pitchers as well. All min/max for each position are on the bottom of your lineup page and it shows the projected as well, based on your pace.

I hear you, it’s not a customizable setting though. I think the logic is that catchers (except for a few of the best) don’t play anywhere close to 162, so they have 2 slots to minimize the roster management you have to do to get 162 innings at the position.

I just got hit with the max position played with the Catcher position too. I Just looked at it and In my opinion, if we have two slots for a catcher then the max games played should portray that. Having 162 game limit for 2 roster spots adds up way too fast

Yeah on your lineup page at the bottom there’s a “games played” section that shows your games played/IP against the min/max allowed for each position
