My squad is paid up. If owners have not paid in by tonight what happens?
Secondly, are we still going to negotiate a draft time that works for everyone. I assume the current posted time is a default setting. I cannot do a draft between March 23-26th unfortunately.
-
Does it show the commissioners who hasn't paid? Might need to reach out individually
-
Looks like there is 6 teams who have not renewed their team's for next year. Cuts are due as well before midnight

My apologies for the timing of this. Had a lot going on and I need to step away from so many FBBL leagues. That being said, I need to abandon my team. I haven't done any cuts or roster moves so that the new owner can start fresh. Thanks for having me, best of luck to you guys.
-
His user name is cacondro
-
I will let him know that he needs to create an Ottoneu account and get back you with the username.
-
Welcome to the fucking show. (Insert Will Ferrell in the Campaign GIF)
-
Thanks for spamming all of our emails Kenny
-
I just need his username and I'll be able to add him
-
A friend of mine Charles is willing and excited to join the league. His email is cacondro@gmail.com. Can one of the commissioners please invite him to join the league?
-
Paid up. Trimmed the fat. Lets play some ottoneu.
-
Anyone looking to make a deal?
-
Yes, we will need a new owner before we begin the draft.. if any one would love to invite friends or other players from other leagues , please extend an invite
-
Makes sense, but I guess the important time to have a new owner is right before free agency/the draft opens up in the spring. Is that correct?
-
It would be recommend, However, once a new owner takes over the team, it does allow 1 round of cuts with out penalty, So for example, we do all of our Cuts and the deadline passes, as soon as the new manager pays and takes ownership they will allow one round of cuts for that owner only, the cuts have to be made all at once, so they can not drop 1 player and then drop 2 people the next day, after the deadline of course, before they can make any cuts as they want. Make Sense ?
-
Hey everyone do we need to get the replacement team in before the arb deadline of Jan 31?
-
I have conflicts March 23-27. Does anyone have a suggestion on a draft date?
-
Im paid up and ready to roll!
-
I am in for next year and paid my fee for next season. Looking forward to competing again in 2023!
-
Also as a reminder, if you have not made your payment to renew your team, you will also need to do so before Jan 31. After cuts are made we can decide on a draft day. Most likely during spring training in March.. So if you can start thinking about dates that will absolutely not work and we will go from there. We will need significantly less time to complete the draft this year
-
We do currently need 1 more manager for work in progress.. if they would like to join, have them take the team before the cut deadline.
-
Hope everyone had a great holiday break. With cut deadline approaching are we still looking for a manager to fill the Work in Progress slot? Is everyone else on board to return?
I have two people that may have interest in taking over the vacated team. Just wanted to confirm if we still need to fill the spot.
Also in the market to trade for a closer if anyone has depth they want to move.
-
Merry Christmas everyone!!
-
I hope everyone is at varying levels of unhappiness with their arb results. I know every team is fairly over-leveraged on cap, but I have updated my trade block to include a wide variety of players that I am willing to part with--some with very good prices. I will have to cut players to get under cap, but I am willing to do even non-cap implicated trades if it fits with my team needs before player cuts/spring auction. Happy to make negotiate if anyone is looking over the next few weeks/months

Tomorrow (Monday) is the last day to vote someone off the island.

I'm pretty sure once a vote is cast it can't be changed.

I'm not sure.. I will be happy ro find out .
-
It looks like Work in Progress cast his arb votes. If a new owner is located can that be recast?
-
Checking with a friend, he might take the team over.
-
We also have 1 spot available
-
As a reminder Arbitration ends on Nov 15.. Please ensure you vote off one player from each team
-
Reminder that the trade deadline is Wednesday.
-
Looking for power (even poorly priced for next season) before the deadline. Let me know if you have any to sell.
-
This is why we don't like arb. Not very real. Leads to a stars and scrubs every year With crazy trades at the trade deadline. It is way more fun to build a team that you more likely keep each year. Losing one player isn't real either, but you can always get him back with a $5 discount. Or you usually end up with a cheaper better player. Nuff said.

For those not familiar with arb... Each team has a $25 budget and must allocate at least one dollar to every other team, and no team can allocate more than $3 to any other team. So with 11 teams, each team ends up with $11-$33 added to there salary cap. That's in addition to the $1 or $2 salary increase that is added to each player you decide to keep. In summation, your salary cap on average gets increased around $50 to $60+ dollars each year. Hard to build a team you can keep that way.

if anyone wants to research vote off, like I just did, check out fantasy.fangraphs.com/ottoneu-vote-off-results/
interestingly, vote off originated as a baseball geek community project, a few years before Ottoneu became a service. A few years later they installed the option of allocation because it is much more aligned with the market-based economy of today's game.
-
I agree with Roger & One Goddam Hit.....no need for name calling....it's weak! Remember we are playing "fake baseball"....... I signed up thinking it was mainstream allocation, but it isn't and that is on me and I can always jump out if I don't like it. I appreciate the guys that took the time to put the league together, thank you!
-
As the best GM in the league, I think I should make all rules going forward. Seems simple, and fair. Please come to me with any questions/concerns. Thank you all for participating in my league.

Hopefully moving forward if any issues arise we can talk it through. That's usually how long term leagues last.
-
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
-
Your the one that called us dictators look in the mirror. Ottoneu in its first few years was originally set up as vote off. In our opinion losing only one player is way better than having your salary structure blown up every year, which is why we set this league up this way. You still can get the player voted off back with a $5 discount. Ottoneu continues to offer both choices.

You still have an option to redraft the player that is voted off . With this being the first year in the league, my guess is there will be some one just as valuable to replace the player voted off as alot of the top players went for alot of money. Also you may get your player back for cheaper
Also no need to call any one a dick.. That's not necessary.. If you don't like the league rules then you don't have to be in the league next year. Remember this is meant for fun.

Sorry, wrong board.
