It doesn't look like it's affecting anyone here just yet (teams either have 2 catchers rostered or have plenty of roster spots left so can still place bids), so we'll keep things rolling for now. If it becomes an issue for you, let me know.
-
I screwed up when setting up rosters, because I designated two roster slots as C it's forcing us to draft two catchers, which is not in line with league rules. I've emailed the site manager in hopes of getting them to change one of the C spots to a bench spot, as I don't think I have the ability to do so.
Sorry for the confusion, I'll update everyone on the resolution ASAP.
-
Sorry, got distracted but... we're underway!!!
-
Sounds good and thanks for setting it all up. I'm ready to get started!
-
Lookit that, we're full! Rosters all uploaded! I'll start it in a few, just gonna double check rosters one more time. Reminders:
-8 hr clock, 8 hr extension with each new bid
-Every manager starts with 2 nominations, you get another every time an auction you started completes
-Up to 24 auctions going at any given time
-You are not required to nominate. Once all auctions are complete, I'll give a 24 hr last call
-Draft will sleep from 9PM-4AM PST
-
They're in there now. And I second the appreciation for helping out, Aspen.
I just noticed that San Bernadino hasn't logged in since Feb 12th, so hopefully he pops his head in soon. I'll continue to send emails, but we might not be able to get rolling today.
-
Thank you @aspen. I have changed my name. @intentional. Are you able to upload my roster?
-
I’m guessing you’re brenzini? Go to settings/edit team name and change your name to your team name, and then the commish will have to import your roster for you
-
ok, I am stupid but I have found my way to the correct room and logged into this year's auction. Now the only issue for me is that my team has not loaded. It is blank with 0 players listed
-
Maybe I am in the wrong room but I am still seeing last year's roster before the draft. Also, I only see the 2022 as an option for me to click on once inside couch managers. Are you able to tell if I am in the right room
-
Still waiting on 2 managers to join.
In the meantime, I've imported rosters for everyone in the draft room, so give them a once-over if you get a minute.
-
Yeah, sorry I thought I was in but I was actually looking at last years. In now, trying to change my name to Sentinels.
-
That works
-
Yeah, works for me
-
Yeah, looks like we had a 7 hour pause from 12 AM EST to 7 AM EST. Probably just do that again?
-
Will we be having "quiet hours" again for the slow draft at night?
-
Waiting on 4 more to join, just sent another email. Sentinels, I know you said you joined, but I don't see you in draft so I resent instructions just in case.
Also, for any teams with co-managers, I believe we can just have both managers simultaneously logged in with the same Couch Mangers account.
Here's hoping we're underway tomorrow morning!

got it, thank you

I’ll import rosters from a .csv file once everyone is in
-
Does it matter if my roster isn't updated in couch managers or should I manually try to update it?

We are in

Check email for the slow draft link! Should just take a minute to join. Let me know if you have questions.

March 1st start for a slow draft is my vote
-
Sounds like a plan
-
I think my other league is gonna slow draft too, I'll just have them both start March 1st so I only have to pay for a 1-month subscription (it's free for everyone else).
Trades are open until then!
-
I’m good with whenever.
-
Ready whenever but March 1 would be fine too.
-
I said wait until March but it doesn't really matter. I'm fine with starting when everyone else is ready.
-
I’m good now but can wait for later as well
-
I’m ready to go but I can wait on the slackers :)
-
I would say we wait until March 1st. Gives me some more time to do some research 😁
-
By my count, that's 9/12 teams that are for the slow draft, so I'll tentatively say that we'll go that route.
Follow-up question: should we start ASAP or wait til March 1st?
-
I vote for slow draft

I vote for slow

Love the slow auction.
-
I'm good with a slow draft also
-
I like the slow draft. Im good with it
-
I also liked the slow draft and it was kind of nice to spread the time out drafting but if people strongly prefer a live draft I'd be ok with it.
-
I know I'm only one person, but it'd actually be my preference to do a slow auction on Couch Managers like we did last year. I thought it went pretty smoothly, and even with rosters mostly formed, a live auction draft is a big chunk of time to carve out. I know it's a different dynamic, and if the league would prefer a live draft, we can try to make it happen.
So, any major objections to the slow auction?
-
im good with whenever
-
Do we need to start looking at dates for a draft or should we wait until we get into spring training?
-
Keeper deadline coming up Tuesday night! Any players held on your roster past the 1/31 11:59 PM deadline will be subject to a cap penalty if cut.
-
If anyone is interested in Kershaw at $19, I'd be willing to trade him. I like him at that price but have to cut some starting pitching dollars. I'd be looking for cheap corner infield or outfielders, probably $3-4 or less.
-
Trade cancelled, good luck with the negotiations :-)
