I’ve confirmed that only a manager of the team can delete a message posted by a team on the league message boards. If you want I can undelete all his nonsense board posts but I’m not sure the manager wants that - they did after all delete those messages.
-
Looking to trade Adley R and Sal Perez interested in any type of return
-
You can delete your own messages, I can’t delete anyone else’s.
If this dude is deleting his own messages to create some sort of false flag then I’m done/he’s done - I’ll kick him out. Really don’t care! I’m like person #8 he’s crossed paths with in the league unfavorably (some of you still here bear witness), so really not interested in that continuing.
This has nothing to do with the dropping or strategy aspect of the game. Will ask Niv if he has insight to the missi
-
Idk, I've never commissioned an Otto league. It does look like his posts disappeared though. It is the time of year that big money players start to get dropped though. If a player sucks or a team is out of contention, money better spent elsewhere.
-
From NYS to my inbox: “ Comish what’s your opinion of all the high dollar drops. You. Blocked me from the board and yet you do the same.”
Just to note I haven’t blocked anyone from posting (could I even do that? I wouldn’t…).
-
Just so happens that Jacob Nottingham, of the aforementioned rule, was just traded to the Giants. Weird.

Where was the vote?

Ok, the league has spoken! Honestly the Guerrero cut was sort of the straw and don't really have an issue with it on its own. I can see a reasonable case for it happening, and you've all made it as well. My issue was/is more of an eyeroll when a player who has not been previously nominated or rostered gets put up and then immediately dropped. I get that it doesn't affect me in terms of my roster... just find it annoying! But alas, different strokes.
-
I can share that many of the longer tenured leagues are filled with bold cuts of expensive stars. Even if I wouldn't have made the Guerrero cut, there's definitely some dead money tied up across the league in overvalued players that is weighing some teams down that I think is of at least equal negative impact.

Woah. Had missed all of this, including the existence of the Nottingham rule...Interestingly enough, I immediately thought of the Ottoneu 30-day renomination cool down that already existed when I just read up on it. I do enjoy my lottery tickets, unloved free agents, and madcap chaos, so I'm down with churn.

What is knottingham rule?
-
Personally, I don't find it all that weird - just maybe on the upper end of the churn spectrum. Though, I may be a bit of a churner myself. Looking to fill short-term niches or cheap lottery tickets. Plus, I like to see names on auction - makes me feel like there's always activity. I do get that its not a very realistic-to-baseball strat (though the Nottingham Rule had to get established a couple years ago!) but I don't think its all that uncommon in the fantasy sphere as a whole.
-
Fwiw, my initial opinion was like wtf. But I support bold moves. May set of a chain of moves.
-
Yea, NYS please PLEASE don't take it personally... it's literally just the playing style and it ends there. If you're cool w/ it and others are also cool - like I said privately I'm not battling you on it, just stating an opinion. Take it or, likely, leave it.
-
I would've traded you something for him, but that said, I couldn't have matched the cash you'll end up with.
-
Yea, I'm fine, I just find your style annoying. Dropping Guerrero for the honor of Garrett Crochet, Wandy Peralta, and Breton Doyle (OH WAIT! You dropped him right away. Why nominate. Pointless. You do this all the time, and I don't get it.)
-
The very first line of the Ottoneu preamble reads: "The intention of this league is to mimic the job of an actual general manager as closely as possible."
Don't remember Dombrowski or Cashman or Epstein dropping 40 players by Memorial Day. The aesthetic of this is unenjoyable.
-
Looking to trade Casas and Gavin Williams in separate trades where I get a $2 loan. Basically $7 for each player.
-
Just you wait- cutting Ozuna is next up.

-
Draft tonight, gang! See ya at 7PM EST.
-
Will the $50 you're carrying into the draft be enough to nab him?
Draft is less than a week away, folks!
-
Thanks everyone for participating in the cuts process! Looks like some interesting talent out there... that I will have a near inability to bid competitively on. Anyway, I've reached out to Lompoc to get cuts in to me so that I can process... going to give a little '12th Place Leeway.'

Happy Cut Day, everyone!

Varsho available

actively trying to trade Wright, Moreno, LeClerc, Tucker..........in that order
-
With enough notice, I think I can do whenever. I think it will be hard to find a time that works for everybody though.
-
Ah, I botched the dates and days in my original message. I'll just get specific and say the draft will be Sunday, March 26th. Is that OK w/ everyone? We can revisit any other date if this turns out not to work... but just want to start with a date.
-
Can’t do Friday March 24th
-
I will be unavailable Sat 18/Sun 19, so I'd much prefer the weekend of Sat 25/Sun 26!
-

Hi everybody - we have found Matthew to be a new manager taking over the abandoned Drifting Tornadoes squad. Welcome, and good luck!
Also, don't forget that the cut + renewal deadlines are coming up.

I want to move Arenado for prospect(s). He's a bargain so I need fair market value, but motivated to move him.
-
I got a response from my public board posting / I will follow up this wk. with holidays been busy, but aiming to fill shortly.
-
Fun offseason so far! Any leads on a tornadoes replacement? It would be nice to be able to trade with the new owner precuts.
-
Very excited for this upcoming season! Remember to re-up your subscription and get your roster legal before 1/31.
-
Less than a week left in arb - get your final selections set, or at least prepare to before it closes on the 14th! I've already notified Lompoc and (I forget the other off top of my head) who have ineligible arb status right now to hopefully have that fixed in the coming days.
-
My favorite thing about that guy was how dated his team name was. I'll never forget him.
-
Sad to see ya go, Glaus. Best of luck in your future endeavors!

A.) ARBITRATION is now open; no rush (have until mid-Nov), but make sure you start thinking about those selections! It is a requirement to allocate all $25, with at least $1/team.
B.) THROUGH THE LOOKING GLAUS - a co-champ from 2021 - has decided to leave the league due to other commitments. I have already identified a new owner who had been eager to join for over a year now - just waited for a spot to open. He should be joining us within the next couple of days.
-
Offseason Note 2: If anyone would like to propose any rule changes for the league, please send me a note. I don't think I've received any DMs to this effect - and don't necessarily anticipate any changes - but want to make sure I'm giving the league an opportunity to speak your respective minds.
-
That was certainly a fun run! Excited to see how arb plays out!

Thanks - it's been the tightest possible race down to the last day, which was pretty cool. Very excited for the offseason and good luck to all!

Offseason Note 1: If you are planning on leaving the league (please don't!), I would greatly appreciate it if you could share those intentions as soon as possible so that we can have a full arb cycle with managers who will be with us in '23.
-
Thanks, and a solid season for you as well! I played it just about as best as I could, which is clearly not enough to withstand the KRANG. Also looking forward to arb. And congrats and thank you everyone for your participation again.
