I am also used to Mondays and was surprised it was Sundays. Maybe email the main Otto guy?

Anyone who has done these leagues before, doesn't the lineup usually lock before games on Monday? That is how the other ones we have been in are and there is no option for us to change it now.

Yes, we are sticking with weekly. Not enough votes by the deadline to overturn.
To answer your question, the first week for the lineup lock is July 23-25.

We are going to cast for daily too (which I hate but it is what it is I guess). That makes it 5-2 in favor of yes. Again, this will only be for this year.

Just checked and I believe we can change it. Why don’t we vote on it. We will vote through tomorrow and I will make the change Sunday if it passes. Do want to say though it will go back to weekly next year since that is what we all signed up for.

Weekly transactions was one the main reasons I picked this league, but I agree that daily transactions may make more sense for this season.

honestly not even sure if it is possible to change, but with the shortened season... any thought of going to daily lineups?
i joined this league with a preference for weekly. i like weekly generally, from a management standpoint, but i would be a yes vote on daily as a 1-season only change.

Well we have a date. I do not think we will be terribly effected in terms of how the rules of the league are laid out. We will just do a roto scoring league for 60 games. I am sure this will make for some sweaty moments for all. However, we at least get to play. I have put the link for the sites recent update. Guess all we do now is wait till July 24th.

Ottoneu put out a second statement. Like i said with the first one, I think everyone deserves all the info available. We are still planning on keeping this league, whenever it starts. Hope you are all staying safe.

Awesome guys. I figured that would be the case but I thought everyone deserved the information to make an informed decision. And Five-0 we can do that, however we will limit it to 10 teams for you to chose from and the Commissioners are exempt haha

Ottoneu has released the following post. I hope that you will all stay with the league. If we cancel it due to the current situation, we cannot get it back.
Obviously there will be a delay, but (in my own opinion) we will have baseball at some point. However, please read the link and we can discuss it from there.

so, basically, if i had two regulars (i don't), but say posey and vazquez, their stats with both accumulate week to week, but if i reach 162 games on july 24, then i just don't need a catcher anymore?

You get 162 games played at catcher total. You can play two, but you can't surpass 162 games or every game after that will not count

The rules say that you can use the two catcher spots in the starting lineup to platoon catchers, how exactly does that work?

Hope everyone is content with your teams. Since we have some folks new to Ottoneu, I want to point this out. The ROSTER ORGANIZER is just a tool to see what your lineup looks like. It is NOT your actual lineup. There is a tab on your team page that is labeled LINEUPS. I know it may seem obvious but both of us (yes two people run Drunk Mike Trout) have seen people make this mistake. If anyone has any other questions feel free to message us.

Hey fellas, any way we can end at 11 on Sunday? I just realized we spring forward an hour with our time on Sunday. Ending at 11 would be like ending at midnight for me.
