Hey all, I'm looking to move pitching for hitting, let me know if you're interested in making a deal
-
Yes indeed! Spring has finally arrived in Maine, hope to draft on the patio and start working on a tan

Ready and pumped.
-
We’re ready.
-
Hi guys. As a reminder, our auction is tomorrow at 12:30pm EDT
-
We're excited for the draft, but it's hard for us this year without Hugh.
-
Hey all. Our auction is this Sunday at 12:30pm EDT. I'll send another reminder the day before too..
-
That should work for us. Thanks.
-
I’ve changed the time to 12:30. If that doesn’t work for anyone, drop a message
-
I could do 12:30 to give you guys a little more time, does that work for everyone?

I just checked, and it looks like it took about two hours and twenty minutes last year. So that may be doable for us, but it’s cutting it a little close.
-
We have another draft at 4pm on 3/21, so starting at 1pm might be cutting it too close. I don’t remember how long the draft should take. Any idea?
-
Could we do 1pm instead of 12pm? I might not be able to make it right at 12.

Alrighty then. Looking at the results of the doodle poll, we will be drafting on 3/21 at 12pm Eastern. Please let me know ASAP if this time does not work for you.
-
Hey all, please fill out this poll with available dates for us to have our auction draft. Right now it's only weekends but it can be expanded to include weekdays if we need to. The blocks in the poll are approximate and not exact so please mark any window that you'd be generally available within. https://doodle.com/poll/wvbps6izff5de33e?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link

1.5 hours until the keeper deadline. Make sure you get your cuts in!
-
Welcome Savannah Sand Gnats! Love the team name

Hey all, I just want to remind everyone that the keeper deadline is this Sunday night, so make sure all your roster moves are done before then!
-
Good luck, hoping we get a full season!
-
Welcome and good luck!
-
Hi everyone, I'm taking over Supermassive Black Hole. Gonna try to get up to speed and make cuts as soon as I can before the deadline. Can talk deals once I have an idea of where the roster is at. Thanks, look forward to the season!
-
Unless someone lets me know about a prospective replacement owner, I will mark Supermassive as abandoned tomorrow morning, so please, please tell me if you know of someone who would be interested
-
Thank you to Hugh. It's the end of an era. Also we wanted to ask when we're going to nail down a date for the auction?
-
Supermassive has just let me know that he will not be returning to the league next season. Hugh, it's been a pleasure having you here. Rest of the league, let me know if you know anyone interested in taking over for him ASAP. I will likely mark the team as abandoned very soon so we have an opportunity for someone to join before the keeper deadline
-
As far as I'm aware, everyone in the league plans on returning. If that is not the case, please let me know ASAP
-
just curious commish, are we fully stocked with managers? All 12 are back?
-
All, we are T-minus 6 days from the keeper deadline, so get those last minute deals in and then make sure you get all your cuts done by the deadline.
-
Hey all, I just want to remind everyone that we all need to pay for next year by 1/31, which is also the keeper deadline
-
We are very concerned that Hugh has not allocated any arb money. Hugh-- If this is goodbye, we would like to salute you as a great player and friend. God bless you and your family.

Hey all, I just want to remind everyone that arbitration needs to be spent by the 14th. You can also edit your allocations anytime until then, so no excuse to wait!
-
Arbitration season has begun, make sure you spend all those dollars by November 14th
-
Congratulations on winning the league, Morristown! And congrats to the commish and Green Sox for second and third place. We’re looking forward to the off-season and to hopefully a full season next year. Stay safe!
Thanks,
Izzy
-
Thanks for another fun season! Great race down the stretch. Crazy year this year, but I’m glad we got to play. Looking forward to playoff baseball and a return to normalcy for 2021.
-
Congrats to Morristown! Hope all you guys have been well. Here's to hoping we get a full 162 games next year.

Yeah, it’s important to keep our specific marketplace in context and the Hader salary is definitely a mitigating factor. It still has a bit of a “Wha?” factor to me, but I absolutely buy into the point that all that matters is what our specific league is seemingly willing to pay for these players.
-
Your 2 cents are welcome...but consider a couple of things. I posted both Hader & Wheeler as available a week ago and haven't received a single offer. I have offered them up in similar if not exact trade offers to a couple of contenders and been declined. Hader at $27 + inflation is definitely not a keeper for me and likely not for many.
Wheeler at $18 is a decent but not spectacular value. I have no regrets...and I suspect the market is more accurate than you realize here.
-
Jeez, it takes a lot for me to speak up about a trade but wow. Wheeler and Hader are still players in their prime. Giving them up and giving a loan of $44 for Kristian Robinson just feels absurd to me. Ultimately, this league polices itself well but, unless I'm misunderstanding something, this one feels pretty gross. Just my two cents.
-
We're looking to do an NBA-style deal ASAP. Eduardo Escobar, Robbie Ray, and Edwin are all available for nothing. If you want one or all of them, make an offer.
-
So opening day is upon us . . . Finally. Just curious, I am the only one who looked at his team this week and thought "hmmm, I thought my starting pitching was better than this."

I kind of presumed that Ottoneu would determine service time rules based on what MLB decides upon. I based my draft strategy on a shorter season and MLB granting a year of service time prorated on the season starting at some point. But that's a side concern - wish they would get the revenue issue resolved. It's stunning that it's billionaires arguing over millions when a lot of their fans are struggling to make ends meet. For the good of the country, they should just get a deal done.

Agreed Commish and Sixto. We just thought it would be good to bring up since we can all make moves. The Bob Witt Jr. auction this a.m. made us think we should bring it up to everyone. His value is very dependent on what we decide to do with arb. We'd be in favor of skipping it completely, but it's up to everyone.
-
I think it’s not worth trying to figure out an arb strategy for out league until we know what’s going to happen with an MLB season, and until we know how ottoneu will handle it by default.
-
Oh that's interesting...I had assumed Ottoneu would determine the policy themselves. If it's up to us, then yeah I think we should discuss...wRC, do you have something in mind? A full skip of arb? Or some kind of half or reduced measure? It's probably best to just chat about it until MLB figures out exactly what they are doing.
-
Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing well in these crazy times. I'm sure we're all frustrated with the state of the MLB and the negotiations regarding this season. We wanted to discuss arbitration for next season though. Is the plan for us to continue along with arbitration as normal regardless of a season being played? Or should we adjust the plan once we know more about this season? Niv (the owner of Ottoneu) said it’s up to each league.
-
Agreed. I signed up for a paid membership.

Thanks for posting this. Fangraphs is invaluable to all of us here. $3 a month is worth keeping it afloat in these tough times for sports-related media.
