Whatever....if you hate the trade, veto it

Lousy trade but krispies has made offers like that to me in the past and I just decline. To each its own.
-
I'm just analyzing BTW. I agree with Rabbit overall. No collusion and we are all free to do what we want. I have gotten lit up for trades I've made in the past. We all value MLB players and prospects differently.
-
not great. would have been better served to trade them as individuals and get a MUCH better return. the very best pitcher and the very best SS. Only one borderline star upside in return in paddack. the rest have just above average as their ceiling. This was a little lazy I think. Not wanting to spend the time to shop offers. Anyway, it's your team and you weren't going to keep them at their prices so there you go. you got a couple players to keep anyway.
-
To add my perspective, I do understand it’s tough to see a buy-sell trade when you’re a fellow competitive team, however to claim foul on a trade is also rather unfair. Cole Brew could go through the value he has on each player and so could I, but to me that seems rather pedantic. There’s no collusion here, and in my mind, that’s the only way a trade can get vetoed. Otherwise you’re just nitpicking other owners player valuations.

That's fine but seems like 2 top 10 players should get a much better return

Its a 9 week season, I have a top heavy roster, I'm fading and two of my best players just went on IL

Can we get an explanation on that trade?

Just my two cents, but it looks like a fair deal to me. True JV is going to decline sooner than later, but until proven otherwise, he’s a top 5 SP. Adell is a great prospect, but still an unknown as far as handling MLB pitching and may take a year or two to produce and Iglesias (though at a great price), has his warts with HR ball. I suppose it kinda depends how much weight you put on this season, but if you’re going for it, you definitely want JV.

That's a message me and let's talk this out, not challenge. I don't want my words to come across as confrontational, that's not the intent.

Agree Bat Flips. Generally the best leagues let the owners do what they think is right. We are all big boys (Sorry if there is a girl in the league or a minot?) . I think more specific discussions can be made owner to owner through DM

I trade a lot. I’m not going to comment on them. I put in a lot time and am very active so I just ask that you let me prove myself before judging. Hit me up in the DM if you want to talk privately about it.

A 35 yo pitcher who happens to still be putting up cy young #'s . His K's Whip and ERA are still in another tier. So if he was looking to strike this year that makes sense. Adel is no longer the # 2 prospect really he does have some swing and miss issues. But obviously I liked it.

That's a strange trade, no 2 prospect in Adell + a closer for a 35 year old pitcher

HAPPY DRAFT DAY! See you all at 7:30 ET
-
Unfortunately, there is no consensus, so we will go with the majority. JULY 16. 7:30 ET. We can be flexible on the time.
-
Do we have a date set?
-
There are still a few who haven't voted. Please do so. I know this is the annoying part, but once we agree on a date, we'll be off and running. https://doodle.com/poll/ftd86cbgrfvt3wma

i will go with the flow

See new poll here: https://doodle.com/poll/ftd86cbgrfvt3wma
I know what you're saying about daily, but I think we have a better chance keeping high participation if we keep weekly. I know at least two owners who have expressed concern over time commitment, so I think it would be in the league's best interest to keep as is for now.
-
Was there by chance going to be another poll made? Looks like there are only 3 dates on the current poll prior to the start of the season and I fear I'm unavailable the 17th, 18th, and 19th. Also, would there be any appetite for changing the league to a daily league this year? With all the crazy SP usage set to happen and what could be many positive COVID tests, a week can be a long time to be unable to switch up the lineup. Particularly in such a shortened season where every game counts.

Hey guys, if you haven’t voted yet, can you please? Looks like a few have yet to vote

As long as its after 7 PM EST I'm good any day.

I can do weeknights if needed, but I can't do the weekend of the 10th-12th unless its late Sunday night (like 9pm EST)

Any chance a weeknight draft would work for everyone? Or perhaps the weekend of the 10th-12th? I'll be out of town from the 17th thru the end of the month and wont have much (if any) access to computer.

Play ball! Please vote here: https://doodle.com/poll/x9bwp42i2q69aady Let's assume draft time is sometime in the evening, we can set a concrete one once we have a date. If you don't plan on playing this year, please let us know as soon as you can. Thanks!

Yeah they really suck, it’s so annoying. I pushed the draft date back again, hopefully we’ll get some good news soon.

Is April 21st the set draft day or just a temporary place holder?

We will not be drafting on Sunday, and we can figure out a draft date as we get more information. There’s no rush even though we’re all itching for baseball.
-
So we're officially not drafting this Sunday? Just trying to clarify. If that is the case I can't commit to any date in the future because there are so many unknowns tbh.

I think it makes the most sense to delay it. Obviously we’re all itching to get it going, but down the line I think we’ll be glad we pushed it. Can we revote at the this link? https://doodle.com/poll/pvvukx45gempri2y

I'm fine either way, everyone has the same advantages and disadvantages of drafting during this uncertainty.
-
We can always deal with a lost season by resetting the league to pre-draft status. The bigger issue is the time between drafting and the start of the season because there are more chances for injuries and role changes and everything. As much as I want baseball, I’d rather postpone as well.
-
What if scenario
Mlb starts June 1st
Player diagnosed with virus june 15th
League shuts down again
Season is lost .
We should hold off on draft
-
I’m fine either way.

What does everyone think if we pushed the draft to a later date? We can try to find a date in April that works, or even later if needed. The other option would be to stick with this weekend since we already have it scheduled.
