Good call about the salary cap issue...I hadn't noticed that. But this offer should balance the sheets. You'll take on an extra dollar, but you're also getting an extra player so it should still keep you right at the cap. Perez is another top 25 prospect, he's only 20 years old, and he'll be starting in Triple-A (Rangers org). He could be up midseason depending how he does, but his upside is high enough that he's worthwhile holding onto...could become a #2 or #3 starter.
