Yeah, you don’t get to use a bad faith move to your advantage. That’s the entire point. Just like if you were on the receiving end of a lopsided trade that was vetoed.
-
That’s not very nice. I didn’t make this situation happen but I am using the leverage to my advantage, as any owner would. As a commissioner do you have the power to make it right? I did nothing wrong but am now getting the shaft because one owner goes rogue? It was an opportunity to improve my team that broke no rules and I have nothing to show for it because one person says so. I don’t buy it.
-
Feel free to complain to whoever you’d like, but I made my decision based on what is best for the competitive balance of the league as a whole.
-
I understand your predicament completely but I was playing by the rules.
-
I’m trying to add players and have a strategy but I guess the commish and Another owner was to dictate how i manager my team.
-
Waiver claims on players that are dropped in bad faith moves will not be honored.
-
You can block the rest but any waiver claims should be validated according to league rules.
-
Sorry commish, you are wrong here
-
Sorry CH, I’m not changing my mind on this and it’s already done. You are welcome to negotiate a good faith trade with Miami.
-
I might not keep the player eventually but I at least want the option according to league rules
-
You do not need to report anything. You need to make any management decisions in good faith. Since your initial message board tirade all you have done is strip the roster of the team you manage by groups of 5-10 players. It all looks, smells, and sounds like intentional sabotage because of whatever gripes you have with me and other owners. Again, consider me reverting the cuts as akin to vetoing a bad faith trade.
-
Look, I’m in tenth place and fighting for every thing I can get
-
I’m not trying to be difficult but I made a valid waiver claim. Albeit distgruntled owner but it is still valid
-
I’m looking to add other players but guess I have to report my strategy. Not for you to decide my strategy
-
All players have been restored. To be honest, I think the only two we had issue with were Turner and Vaughn.
-
You have $87 in cap space and hoskins costs $21 in a waiver claim. You don’t need to drop Turner to enable that add.
-
BC nice
-
I’m trying to add Hoskins thus why I dropped Turner but guess that’s not allowed either?
-
Colleen, please don't make this more complicated. Miami is obviously a troll, most of his drops are obviously not ones done in good faith. If we have to start parsing out which waivers claims are valid, then this falls apart. I agree you made a valid waiver claim, but you did so on a non-valid cut.
-
Bartolo has not been an absentee owner. He has been responsive to DMs and trade inquiries. Adding and dropping players is not a requirement.
-
I made a move this week you idiot but thanks for paying attention. Should have kicked you out weeks ago

Sorry CH, I’m putting all the players cut today by Miami back on that team.
-
Colleen you are right. Commish decides rules on the go.
-
Now wait, I put in a waiver claim straight and square by league rules that I would like honored. Not to be a dick or anything.
-
Well Bartolo is an absentee owner who makes no moves and does not set lineups so when you address this situation you really can’t complain about my drops
-
We have absolutely replaced absentee owners in the past, we’ve just handled that in the offseason because impact anyone else’s ability to compete. Mass dropping players does impact other players, especially those of us near the top of the standings who are approaching this competitively.
-
The commish let’s teams not set lineups or add players,
-
Nope you are incorrect
-
There are many tools that can be used to assign value to players. Appropriately priced star players being dropped when salary isn’t an issue for the roster is unacceptable. It’s no different than vetoing an unbalanced trade.
-
So pivetta was dropped for 4 dollars and many others as well. Whom are you or anyone to decide what a players value is .
-
Jobu, you aren’t the one causing drama. I tried tact, I tried patience. It’s gone from annoyance to negatively impacting competition. That’s not acceptable.
-
I can’t allow competitive balance to be negatively impacted. If teams don’t set lineups or whatever, that’s fine. This isn’t a head to head matchup league. But adding appropriately priced players like Turner and Vaughn off waivers due to intentional team mismanagement can absolutely impact the final standings.
-
Thanks WOBA, I appreciate your help. I'm sorry to cause drama on a Saturday. If the $20 fee is what stands in our way, I stand by my offer to cover it.
-
Let’s calm down. We just want to know your intentions about being apart of the league. If you plan to stay, which you have threatened to leave, which is it? Every owner can go their own way but what do you want to do?
-
I’m sorting through what’s possible in removing Miami. This isn’t working and isn’t fair to the league. I’m restoring today’s cuts as well.
-
Jobu I haven’t posted a comment in a long time buddy
-
Hey Jobu i didnt post ant comment until you attacked me. I don’t want you money
-
Maybe Jobu should look at other teams moves or lack of any before making these demands
-
Give me your Venmo. I will fucking pay double to have you gone. $40. You never post another whiny message, you don't throw off our league, you stop complaining about other players or rules that cover all of Ottoneu. I would consider it a value spend.
-
Turner is $53 so what’s the problem
-
Nope my team or refund my money
-
So Bartolo has made no moves not one
-
And there is our answer. You've acted like a petulant child since you've joined, and you are providing no value to this league. Boot this douche nozzle, restore the team to what it was before today's drops, and let the team ride out for the rest of the year. Hell, I'll co-manager if I have to if it means getting rid of this owner. Either he goes, or I go at this point.
-
CH dropped Pivetta for $4 so lets play this game shall we?
-
Maybe I should go review Colleen’s moves and a few other teams. Do you want to go in this direction?
-
It’s my team and can whatever I want with my players. Should I start looking at every teams roster? Commish has shown no interest to monitor rosters and lineups so guess I am being singled out? We all see players at differ teams values.
-
I can do it tonight if I don’t hear from him sooner. I agree this is negatively impacting competitive balance in an unacceptable way.
-
He's dropping productive and cheap players too. Murphy (surprisingly!?) has been a top 10 catcher this year and was relatively cheap. Vaughn was only $4. Up until now, I could justify his moves, but today was concerning. To avoid disruption, can we return all the players dropped today to his roster until we figure out what is going on?
-
The roster is down to 11 total players. I get there was certainly some salary balance issues, but a guy like Vaughn doesn’t really fit the narrative.
-
Well in all fairness you can only have so many high priced guys. He has clearly going given up the season as have I but I have a plan for the future. He might too? I don’t know. Someone made the point the team might not be attractive to a future owner, which is a valid point. I didn’t have much on my team to start but I’m trying to turn it around. I think it can work out either way.
