I could do Saturday or Sunday, but if it's Sunday then I wouldn't be able to participate too late into the evening. I'd say 9:00pm ET would be my latest available time on a Sunday.
-
Late Sunday afternoon into the evening is typically ideal for me, that sounds like a plan.

Without all the votes in, it looks like the 4th week of February would likely win anyways, so let's plan on that. That weekend would be 2/23-24. I'd probably suggest we start with one of those days, and if we can't fit the whole thing in, that allows us a month to try and make up the rest. General thoughts on Saturday/Sunday availability? Sunday late afternoon/early evening would likely be my best bet.
-
Thanks for the email. Good stuff for us new guys. Wanted to say that any week in February works for me actually. I voted for week 4 anyway since most free agents will be sorted out by then.
-
I'm bored at work and typed up a really unnecessarily long email that has some pointers on the finer aspects of ottoneu, so be on the lookout for the email.
-
I definitely vote fourth week for two reasons: 1) my baby will be that many weeks older by then and 2) that's closer to when everyone will be signed
-
Also keep in mind we're probably talking about doing it on a weekend, so I'd pay closer attention to weekend dates when choosing.
-
Alright guys, new form just sent out to narrow down which week in February we want to draft. Be on the lookout.
-
Sorry guys, Google Forms doesn't tell me WHO actually responded, so I wanted to wait long enough to make sure everyone came across it and voted. I think we have enough votes in now though, and the winning month looks like February. I'll put together the next poll soon to try and narrow down which weeks/days would be best for our draft.
-
Wellll? We're ... waiting.

Yep, I got my vote in. Likewise, I believe it's better to have the draft in January/February so that we have a better handle on roster makeups after the bulk of off season transactions have been made.
-
Got the email as well and got my vote in. I'm really flexible with month. It will be specific days that mess me up.
-
Got the form with no issues, I voted February so we would have a better idea of team/player movement...if that isn't as logical as I think it is, happy to reconsider because my Feb. is looking pretty jacked up at the moment.
Basically, I can make most anything work if there needs to be some kind of tiebreaker, since its a 12-person vote and all.

Just sent out the form. I've never really made one of those myself before so hopefully it works alright. I like to think I'm still young enough to understand these things.
-
Yep, the "email the league" worked for me, as well. Keeping an eye out for the Google Form to narrow down draft date(s).
-
The email the league feature worked for me. I got the message.

So our league is full! When's the draft? :)

Just checked the fanpost comments and saw Bravonut resigned - sorry, been in the mountains for Thanksgiving. I'll have the invite out to that other guy today.
-
We don't really have a missing spot. Just need to get Bravonut sorted, which might be a bit of a pain since he doesn't really do online payment kinda things. I'm going to get in touch with him and work it all out. If it's too much of a hassle and he backs out, we should have a few to choose from.
-
I got tired of waiting and posted a couple ads on TC for our missing spot. Hope that's okay.

Also you guys should check out the 'Community' tab at the top right of the league home page. Tons and tons of helpful Ottoneu info there, and it's not terribly difficult to find whatever specific thing you may be looking for.
-
If you miss your nomination, it's not a huge deal. You can still bid on everyone else that is nominated by other players, and then you can nominate whoever it was the next time around. It DOES add time to the process to miss your nominations or take a long time to get them in, though. You can add guys to your watch list beforehand so they're easier to nominate.
-
The draft is fairly intuitive. I believe you get 15-20 seconds to nominate a player, and then 30 seconds of bidding starts. You can either enter an amount you'd like to bid, or just make use of the +$1 button, which is what I usually do. Once you get below 10 seconds left in the bidding, it resets to 10 seconds each time the bid is raised.
-
I don't see any mock draft options on this board, and I looked on ESPN and Yahoo to see if they have any still running. Unfortunately, seems that all the mock drafts are down until the season gets closer.
-
Is there any way to do some sort of mock draft so I can make sure I know how it works? What kind of timer does each auction have in the draft?

Unfortunately not. I just put an icon on my phone that takes me to my lineup page. The mobile site has gotten so much better than it used to be, though I realize it's still kind of a pain in the ass.
-
Is there an Ottoneu app available?
-
Also, feel free to poke around the tools here. There's not TOO much we can do quite yet just because no one has players on their roster. But I would definitely suggest peeling through the "Players" tab up top. From there, you'll find all kinds of resources, and you can start looking up certain players and adding them to your watch lists etc.
-
Hello and welcome everyone! Please do not pay any attention to the draft date for now, they just made me select something so I made it as ridiculous as possible. We can work out all the specifics eventually.
