That was very Doug Fister actually
-
The no-true-outcomes king Robert Gasser: 6 IP with no K's, no walks, no HRs allowed! That seems rare.
-
Nothing will ever rank with Fister for Furbush though.
-
Ha! I didn't even notice...

Ok, that's kinda funny that Saint just dropped Burger to pick up Fry.
-
You can't jinx Livvy's boyfriend - 6 no-hit innings and 11Ks before Cutch's lock that the Pirates would pull him happened.

… don’t jinx haha (Pirates will pull him prob)

No hitter thru 5 IP, 10Ks. Well...

9Ks out of 12ABs for Paul Skenes - jaw-dropped
-
Already jinxing things, just not where you thought: the gap between 6th and 7th has shrunk from 9 points to a measly 1.5 this evening.
-
Until then we trudge on ignoring the sagely Anthony “Secured the bag” Rendon who humbly offered perhaps the season’s too long. I’ve a dreadful feeling this year it might be.
-
Ol’ Commish with the fun facts to put the jinx squarely on the horned one. It’s been a white knuckle ride waiting for Acuna to start doing Acuna things and ruin my dream of a better life. If only an expose on Manfred and the owners colluding to commit a nefarious act, like robo-peanut vendors, would get the season shutdown. I’d take that little digital trophy next to my team name. I’d never-ever turn my monitor off and put it against the window for all passersby to see.

Si, Hornswogglers es mas macho.

Four clusters in the standings: 1st, 2-6, 7-10, 11-12. It's been 38 days since Horns moved into first place.
-
Weird. I've scrolling right past it.

No, it's been around a few years, at least.

That toggle shows up super dark on my phone so I didn't even notice it . Is that a new thing this year?
-
Thanks

Chris, there's a tab you can select/deselect that will "fix" this. It's just below the Position Players heading on the Lineups page for your team. Ottoneu automatically benches players who are not in the starting lineup for that day so you won't get docked a game of eligibility at that position if they enter the game late as a pinch hitter/defensive replacement. For example, Jeffers didn't start today. As a catcher, this likely happens more often than with other position players.
-
Is anybody else problems with lineups. I set my lineup every night about 10pm and then when I check my stats the next evening some players are out of my lineup. Today it was Lamont Wade & Ryan Jeffers. It takes Jeffers out a lot which is very annoying.
-
Did Livvy rizz up Paul Skenes?
-
Only twice since 1960 has a team issued 6 bases-loaded walks in one game. Both times that team won!
-
Horns … it was very hard to watch to be honest - bad baseball! Paul should have only had one earned run! - the homer from Nico! Future is brought tho!!!
-
Cutch, what was your take on the six bases-loaded walks in the 5th? Bullpen put the rookie in his place, eh?
-
..:and Livvy Dunne.
-
Paul. Skenes.

We have own award here in Night Marinersville. It's called The Paxton.

I can't believe Walker Buehler came back before Alex Cobb and Bryan Woo.

Way to play one for Brother Trout today, Team Hornswogglers. Impressive resilience.

Horns..."wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man's heart, and the fall through the air of the true, wise friend"...called Trouty.
-
ughh… no timetable - hate to see it :-(
-
Oof, Trout. “Not season-ending”… yay?
-
Now, these are the saddest of possible words: Mike Trout will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Hooray for PCA!
-
But, Commish, at least you had Pete Crow-A in the lineup today for his first MLB HR, eh?

It could be worse, Cutch. You could have traded away a young $2 pitcher who has 39 K's in 29 IP, and a WHIP under 0.83 before he made a start. That's been a tough feeling after every start.
-
That's okay, Cutch, don't feel bad - Jesus did the same thing to me when I dropped him on a Sunday morning...

Sad day when Cutch drops Cutch.

And thank you Saint for the deep dive on the count. You are the most reliable intellect I have ever known. As well as the most reliably honest intellect. Which are two different things as we have discovered since the Trump era began.

"Return to a typical rate" is a great campaign slogan. For anyone. Who wants to deceive. My relatives are not relative.
-
Well I'm glad it wasn't just me. I don't get to say that very often.
-
...all others must bring data, inc. St. CGT IV: according to BRef, MLB is on pace for 100 deaths in 2024, which is a return to a typical rate compared to recent years; here's the data back to 2010: '10, 101; '11, 111 (the high in these years until...); '12, 82 (the low by far since '10); '13, 102; '14, 95; '15, 94; '16, 95; '17, 101; '18, 98, '19, 100; '20 (now things get rougher), 117 (inc. 7 HOFers & Dick Allen who should be); '21, 109; '22, 106; '23, 113; '24, 30 & countin'.

And don't know about you guys but I'm very concerned with recent surge in deaths among former Major Leaguers. I'm sure the Pitch Clock is to blame. And Pussyman is also most likely involved somehow.
