Welcome Jimmy. Any questions, let me/us know. Your predecessor set the bar very low, so we're glad to have you.

Welcome Jim! I also live in the Detroit area, GO TIGERS!

Hello I am NOT Q aon.. Hello!
-
Let's try this again: we have an opening in the league so if you know anyone who is interested *and is willing to pay the $20 fee* let me know and I will get them set up. If you need to, please assure them that their team does not necessarily have to be named after QAnon. They will be able to make additional drops with no penalty.
-
If anyone's interested, I have two openings in an established, free 20-team H2H Yahoo league using ottoneu-style scoring (slight adjustment made to P's) & divisional scheduling. You start w/ the rosters of an MLB team, but everyone is free to add/drop/trade all players during the season like a 'regular' fantasy league. There's a "FA Draft" on the msg board for players on the 10 unowned teams. Open teams are: ARI, BAL, BOS, CIN, COL, DET, KC, MIN, PHI, PIT, SEA, TEX, & W
-
I set the draft for March 21st at 9 ET/8 CT/7 MT/6 PT (I don't know the shorthand for international time zones, sorry). They usually last about 2 hours so it shouldn't keep anyone up terribly late. Any other issues with it, let us know.
-
Monday or Sunday evenings are ok for me as well
-
Those Monday dates and times are fine by we

I would be ok with Monday too so we'll put that in the list of options. So March 8, 15, 22 around 8 or 9 ET. If that's bad, let us know.
-
Sunday evenings work best for me, although I'm pretty flexible. 9 eastern time seems a little late, though, since we could be ending around midnight or later. My kids won't be asleep either, but the allocation of the budget and resources as well have projecting baseball stats are valuable lessons for kids to learn. I also vote for later in March, like the 21st. We might not even know if the NL will have the DH in late February.
-
I am flexible for times and dates.
-
I mean, is there really anything else other than Eastern time? I don't care about the time of the draft but in terms of the date, my vote is as late as possible because we still aren't certain if 162 games will be played and it would be nice to have as much information as possible when drafting.
-
Im flexible as well right now Monday nights would be best... if weekend i ca do sundays after 8pm if Saturday late afternoon works

I don't mind end of Feb. either, but am pretty flexible. Sunday evenings would be preferable...I wish my kids would go to bed before 9!!

I like the idea of end of feb but can be flexible for the most part, especially if we do it after kids go to bed (so start around 8pm central). That's 9 eastern for the crowd that can't compute anything but East coast time. I'm looking at you, Commish.

Now's a good time to start thinking about a draft day/time. Most people tend to prefer weekends so we're looking at Feb. 27/28, March 6/7, 13/14, 20/21, 27/28. Personally, March 6 and 13 might be tough for me and I think March 27 is a little late. So I favor March 7, 14, 20, 21 or the last weekend in Feb., but I'd like to hear from everyone on your preference.

Only if I can get Jarred Kelenic for a mid-tier reliever.

I finally allocated my arbitration money. Can I get a discount on Brandon Lowe's increased salary based on his postseason performance?
-
Trout Urshela, QAnon, and Albuquerque need to finish their arbitration.

The arbitration basics: You get $25 to assign to players throughout the league. You have to spend at least $1 on each of the 11 other teams but you can't spend more than $3 on any one team. You have to spend every dollar or else none of your allocations count. You can change your allocations up until the deadline. It's an open process so you will see how much each player is drawing throughout the process.
-
First offseason, any place i can find more info on the allocation system other than in the rules section ?

Silence of the Lamb will have a new owner next year, so let me know if you have someone who wants to jump in. If not, I'll mark it abandoned once we get within a few days of arbitration.

I plan on returning

Great job all and well done to the top 3...and 4th with .2 pt thattaboy 👍. I’ll be continuing so count me in
-
Congrats to the top 3. Nice to see a close race, even for 3rd.....only 0.2 points separated you two!!
Remember everyone, Arbitration is slated to start Oct. 15th. This is your opportunity to screw with other peoples rosters.
We should also have an early call for who's going to return next year.....I'm in for another beating!!

Thanks, nice to finally finish the job. Seemed like almost everyone was into it, hopefully we can keep it that way.

Congrats, Matt. First year for me too, and it was fun, even if my team coughed up the lead about a week ago.

Congratulations Matt... This was my first yr doing Ottoneu and I really enjoyed it

👍 thx Token and same to you. It’s been good to think about baseball again and to hear the pop of the mitt and crack of the bat...no I mean literally we will hear everything 😁 with no crowds which might be pretty cool. Be well all.
-
Opening Day is finally here!! Good luck everyone.
-
I still have Ian Desmond on my roster who has opted out. He appears like a player that is on the 60-day IL so you get the extra roster spot to fill but you will still have the player salary count against your $400 cap (or cut the player later with the 50% cap hit).
-
How are opt-out players being handled for roster limit and salary cap?

Sorry to hear that. You’ll have to fill out your roster with FA’s. But if you sign in to the auction late let us know. The commish will have to “unlock” your account to start bidding.
-
Yeah you'd be left to grab the scraps. Do you best to join whenever you can.
-
Guys I'm stuck at work and might not be able to get on at all..I'll try to get on when/if I can...If not do I just grab F/A at the end to fill out roster ?

2.5hrs to go!!
-
For the new guys (and anyone who may not have noticed) the auction is open anytime you want to go in and look around. You can also add players to your queue and they will stay there for the auction.
-
Remember there is a time change on Sunday....and for hillbillies like me living in Saskatchewan, Canada, where we don't actually adjust our clocks...make sure you know when 4pm Eastern is!!
